Implementation of the Equal Access to Justice Act: Final Rule

SUMMARY: The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) is publishing a final regulation that implements the Equal Access to Justice Act (Act). The Act provides for the award of fees and other expenses to eligible individuals and entities that are parties to adversary adjudications before the Federal government. The regulation establishes procedures for the filing and consideration of applications for awards of fees and expenses in connection with adversary adjudications before OFHEO.

Implementation of the Equal Access to Justice Act: Proposed Rule

SUMMARY: The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) is proposing a regulation that would implement the Equal Access to Justice Act (Act). The Act provides for the award of fees and other expenses to eligible individuals and entities that are parties to adversary adjudications before the Federal government. The proposed regulation would establish procedures for the filing and consideration of applications for awards of fees and expenses in connection with adversary adjudications before OFHEO.

Civil Money Penalties

SUMMARY: OFHEO is issuing this final rule to adjust each civil money penalty within its jurisdiction to account for inflation. This action is necessary to implement the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act of 1990, as amended by the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996.

Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight; Minimum Capital

SUMMARY: The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) is issuing a final regulation that sets forth the methodology for computing the minimum capital requirement for the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac) (collectively, the Enterprises). The final regulation also establishes procedures for the filing of quarterly minimum capital reports by each Enterprise.
