The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA or Agency) was created as an independent agency by the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 [1] (HERA) to regulate and supervise Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac (together, “Enterprises”), Common Securitization Solutions, LLC (CSS), and the Federal Home Loan Bank System, which includes the 11 Federal Home Loan Banks (FHLBanks) and its fiscal agent, the Office of Finance (OF) (collectively, the regulated entities)[2] Since 2008, FHFA has also served as the conservator of the Enterprises.
This Report was prepared in accordance with the Equal Employment Data Pursuant to Title III of the Notification and Federal Employee Antidiscrimination and Retaliation Act of 2002 (No FEAR Act), Public Law 107–174. The No FEAR Act requires federal agency accountability for violations of antidiscrimination and whistleblower protection laws. Federal agencies must notify employees and applicants for employment about their rights under the federal antidiscrimination and whistleblower laws.
