Glossaries

Whether communicating in English or another language, using accurate and consistent terminology can improve the mortgage process for all parties involved. The Consumer Financial Protection  Bureau, FHFA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac have collaborated to create standardized glossaries in Spanish and traditional Chinese. Glossaries in Vietnamese, Korean, and Tagalog are now available. ​

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's Glossaries of English-Spanish and English-Chinese Financial Terms are also available at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau website.
