FHFA encourages the FHLBanks to develop pilot programs and offer voluntary programs to address housing and community development needs in their districts. Each FHLBank establishes a framework for its development and implementation of, and reporting on, pilot programs and voluntary programs. The framework must include a policy addressing the types of information that will be posted on the FHLBank’s public website regarding pilot program or voluntary program, such as the goals and a description of the program.
