Privacy Act Statement - Duty to Serve Markets Public Listening Sessions

Authority: Pursuant to the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 (12 U.S.C. 4565), which amended the Federal Housing Enterprises Financial Safety and Soundness Act of 1992 (Pub. L. 102-550, 106 Stat. 3941, 12 U.S.C. 4501, et seq.) and 12 CFR 1282.32, FHFA is authorized to collect this information to assist Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (the Enterprises) in discharging their duty to serve three specified underserved markets.

Purpose: The purpose of the collection of information is to register individuals to participate in the Duty to Serve Markets Public Listening Sessions, which will provide an opportunity for stakeholders and members of the public to share their views and provide input and recommendations on the Enterprises’ proposed 2025-2027 Duty to Serve Underserved Markets Plans.

Routine Use: While the information requested in the registration for the listening sessions is intended to be used primarily for internal purposes, this information may be disclosed as necessary and authorized by the routine uses published in the System of Records Notice (SORN) FHFA-7, Mail, Contact, Telephone, and Other Lists, June 8, 2011, 76 FR 33286.  

Consequence of Failure to Provide Information: Providing this information is voluntary. However, failure to provide any of the information requested may result in your inability to participate in the listening session(s), resulting in your comments or input not being considered in the Enterprises’ 2025-2027 Duty to Serve Underserved Markets Plans.
