Washington, D.C. – Armando Falcon, Jr., Director of the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight, today marked the 10-year anniversary of the agency, created to oversee the safety and soundness of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, by unveiling an updated website and logo.
"OFHEO has achieved several major milestones in the last decade," said Director Falcon. "I want to take this opportunity to recognize the accomplishments of the many hardworking and talented people here who have devoted themselves to the public mission of ensuring the safety and soundness of a fundamental pillar in our economy—housing."
"One of the components of our mission is to enhance public understanding of the secondary market. This enhanced website will also provide the public with important information on the Enterprises," Falcon said.
OFHEO's updated website at www.ofheo.gov includes two major new features: A section where the Enterprises' disclosures will be posted, and an interactive House Price Calculator, to estimate the value of home by state, city or religion.
