The Federal Housing Finance Board today released the attached letter from Secretary of the Treasury John W. Snow, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Mel Martinez, and Federal Housing Finance Board Chairman John T. Korsmo calling on Federal Home Loan Banks to register with the SEC under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
The letter was sent to the chairmen and vice-chairmen of the boards of directors of the 12 Federal Home Loan Banks, as well as to the presidents of each of the institutions.
