Washington, D.C. – The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) today announced the FHFA House Price Index (HPI) will be released at 9 a.m. ET on the following dates in 2014:

The FHFA HPI is a widely used indicator of house price appreciation in the United States. The FHFA HPI is a weighted, repeat sales index which tracks average price changes in repeat sales or refinancings on the same single-family properties. The FHFA HPI is based on data from more than 49 million transactions over the past 38 years.
