    I have worked to prepare Investor Reporting for Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae since around 1979, for both banking institutions and a private mortgage-banker. So my perspective is from the originator and servicing side and most strongly for the responsible homeowner.
    I believe the mission of Freddie, Fannie and all the GSE agencies should be to promote an affordable and sustainable housing market for all, not just for those with perfect income/credit scores/low risk collateral.
    Without the commitment and regulation of the FHFA, Wall Street and shareholders will further erode the middle-class and the chance for young people to own homes in all areas of the US.
