The Federal Home Loan Bank Act provides members liquidity in support of housing and community development. Congress has authorized the types of institutions eligible for membership and the requirements for them to access liquidity and other products and services. As a member of the FHLBDM, the liquidity available is very important to the operations of our Company as we support our policyholders, many of whom are homeowners, farm owners and small commercial business owners. Congress created the FHLBank System and its mission, and any changes to the System’s mission should be determined by Congress.
