I am the CEO of Hotel and Travel Industry FCU based in Honolulu, Hawaii. Our credit union has been a member of the FHLB for almost 15 years, and have relied on them for source of funding and liquidity. Our partnership has been especially valuable during these economic times with challenges to our liquidity position. We are considered a "small" credit union of $38 mil in assets, and access to liquidity and funding sources have been easy and readily available when needed. The services of FHLB is critical to our business and strategic plans, and I urge that the FHLB continue its mission under the guidelines determined by Congress and not by the FHFA.
