I am the CEO of Wyoming Bank & Trust, a member of the FHLB, and I am writing to express our opposition to any changes to the mission of the FHLB system. Congress created the FHLBank System and its mission, and any changes to the System’s mission should be determined by Congress, not the FHFA. Would the recent SCOTUS Chevron ruling apply here? The FHLB is an important part of our liquidity planning and provides us the opportunity to enhance housing in our area. We urge the FHFA to ensure that all current members continue to have the same access to it as they do today.
