As a banking executive for many years, I can clearly state based on such experience that the FHLB system and its provision of liquidity is critical to the success of the banking industry and the consumers and businesses they serve. Making changes to a system that is working for our country simply doesn't make sense. I'm informed that Congress alone created the Federal Home Loan Bank system, so it seems that any changes to the system should be determined by Congress and not the FHFA. Thank you.
