Congress created the FHLBank System and its mission, and any changes to the System’s mission should be determined by Congress, not the FHFA.
The ability to pledge loans for borrowing for liquidity and LOC for public funds pledging from Federal Home Loan Bank is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to our institution and many others like us. It is necessary that all current members continue to have the same access to it as they do today. To make any changes to these situations would be disastrous to community banking.
