    I believe Freddie Mac insuring 2nd mortgages is a recipe for disaster. As a mortgage originator for 33 years I have seen far too many homeowners use their homes as piggybanks. We cannot make it too easy for borrowers to pull equity from their homes. By having Freddie insure 2nds the cost will go down making it even easier and more affordable for homeowners to abuse their equity. It should be more expensive and more difficult to get the money. Easy money policies are one of the reasons we had and still continue to have rising home prices and too much liquidity in the marketplace. I strongly urge this proposal not move forward.
