You ask...(8) to what degree might borrowers benefit from or be adversely affected by this proposed action?
I think that borrowers and the country as a whole, will be adversely affected. I think that this places more risk on the borrowers and ultimately more risk on the general public/taxpayers. I think it is risky to assume that housing prices will monotonically increase. And, if housing prices do decline, the equity is eroded and borrowers are placed under more stress. Further, I do not think it is a good idea to promote this program which will increase consumer spending and help to further fuel inflation. PLEASE DO NOT PROCEED WITH THIS NEW PRODUCT.
