    Please take action to protect renters. In my area, landlords increase rents every year with little regulation; my own rent is increasing by $100 this year for the same property. They buy up all the available housing in the area so it is impossible for ordinary people to afford to buy homes, as the landlords always outbid them. People who have lived in their homes for years are getting priced out of the neighborhood. Renters deserve safe and affordable housing and protection from exploitation.
