as someone who has rented on the southside of chicago all of my adult life it is clear to me that we need tenant protections for tenants to prevent the price gouging and displacement that we face in our neighborhood. the federal government should not be subsidizing the exploitation of its tenants we should be provided cleaner, safer and more affordable housing
