    I don’t think landlords should be getting tax dollars to buy properties, and if they’re going to be subsidized to buy housing. They need to watch over their properties more closely and they need to keep the rent affordable. If they’re going to get handout from the government, they don’t deserve to raise the rent exorbitantly and not maintain them. Accountability needs to be in place to maintain these standards, and if the landlords can’t do this, they shouldn’t be getting our tax dollars.
