I live in a Fannie Mae-backed property. There needs to be more help for people with disabilities, illnesses, and circumstances that make it hard for them to pay rent. We need a rent cap because landlords don't care how much money you make or what your situation is. When I got sick, everything went downhill and I couldn't afford my rent. I shouldn't be working because of my health, but I have to to pay rent. A cap on rents would help me and people like me.
