    Rent Stabilization is the only path forward to keep Floridians housed! More and more houses are being purchased by conglomerates/organizations that have inflated the cost of purchasing and renting places to live. As a result everything has inflated in price. A one bedroom apartment used to be around $1200 a month requiring 2 months of rent upfront only 5 years ago. Now many are looking at renting a one bedroom around 1800-2200 a month requiring you to make 2-3x the amount every month. I have friends that have resulted into having parents sign on their lease, and an other having to stay with their ex's due to rising housing cost.
    Stop making life harder on your constituents, full time workers should be able to house themselves without any difficulty. Stabilizing rent through rent control and providing tenant protections are both important steps in this process. Please make rent control and tenant protections a priority!
