    I am fortunate to live in housing provided by my university but my colleagues are not. Many of my peers have been evicted from family/graduate housing to make room for freshmen, and are now expected to find places to rent in the community on sometimes less than $1800/month which over the summer becomes less than $1200. Some one bedrooms cost more than $1000/mth in this town and costs continue to increase. Even my campus rent is increasing significantly going into the next academic year with no pay raise to offset.
