Earlier this year, myself and the other residents at my apartment compex ourselves looking for new homes after the conplex shut down; instead, we found a wildly overpriced and under-regulated rental market. I support the creation and enforcement of a 2% rent increase cap and Good Cause Eviction regulations because it would mean that poor and working class tenants like myself would enjoy safer, more affordable and more stable housing opportunities.
