I have deep concerns about seeking to add additional regulation around multifamily borrowers. Instead of helping provide affordable housing, this will very likely have the inverse effect as you will find investors less willing to jump into the market and you will see lower investment and improvement of housing. This will only lead to less affordable housing and lower quality existing housing. I strongly encourage against creating additional barriers and restrictions to an already unstable industry.
