The current restrictions have seriously harmed the multi-family industry in numerous ways. It has strained resident relations with their landlords, it has allowed residents to not pay and abuse the property with no recourse allowed by the landlords, it allows residents to not uphold their leases to the detriment of other residents. Further restrictions would only make these issues more prevalent and could cause many communities to have to shut their doors which would be extremely harmful to many other residents and the employees those communities and companies employ.
