    We care about all renters in the US. Unfortunately, many Detroit renters can not afford this rent increase. After a one-year rent renewal, the management company or landlord can increase the rent by 50 % or 100%. It seems wrong. We're renters, and we talk to the residents in our complex; about the decision to move, and they are so sad about the high rent. The Census numbers were low because of no rental protection and expensive rent! The solution is to lower the area's median income nationally.
