We all know that rent control sounds good. However, much research has been done on the subject and everyone agrees that rent control is not healthy for tenants. When rents are controlled landlord/investors need to charge higher prices or do not fix things at the house because they cannot afford to fix things. Having a free rental market where landlords/investors can price their rentals where they need to in-order to have quality housing for renters is the only way rentals will work. Unless you believe in socialism and look where that has taken everyone who’s tried that before. It doesn’t work.
