A LP of multifamily housing, we share the Administration’s commitment to addressing the affordable housing crisis in our nation. However, imposing additional regulation around multifamily borrowers risks creating additional issues in an already unstable market. We respectfully maintain that it would be in the best interest of both renters and multifamily owners for the FHFA to refrain from creating additional obligations for private rental housing providers and instead focus on leveraging federal resources in the form of incentives to bolster new affordable housing supply."
