    I live in a property purchased through Fannie Mae and recently my rent was raised 40% when I renewed my lease. Rent costs are getting too high and are out of control. We need rent control now or we will soon be unable to pay our bills if this continues. I make an above average income for my area and I still have a difficult time with these outrageous rent increases. We also need protections from unjust evictions. I know many people who have been evicted in my city for speaking out against their neglectful landlords and property management companies. We need these protections immediately.
