Tenants deserve federal protections, especially to ensure the baseline safety of their housing! From mold and roaches to holes in walls and ceilings, tenants are too often ignored by their private landlords. If they complain, they're met with raised rent or a unrenewed lease. Help landlords, but only if they're willing to provide housing that's affordable AND safe!!
