I personally am fortunate enough to grow up with parents in positions to support me enough that they don’t let me know or worry about the rent but the stories I have heard from friends of rent hikes causing them to search for new ways to obtain food for the family like soup kitchens because they can no longer afford the essentials like food are scarily common. Please attach tenant protections against greedy landlords because the idea that my friends and your citizens are having to choose between a place to call home a food in their stomachs is ridiculous.
