Tenants need rent protections, rights, a right to organize, a ban on source of income discrimination and more. I’d really like to own a house one day, but with the cost of my rent there’s not really room to save for a down payment. I’m debt free, own used cars, cook most of my meals, live a simple life. If we want people to thrive we need to allow for decent ways for people to live-not for corporations to profit.
