    Predatory short-term equity firms are buying up mobile home parks to raise rents in order to exact financial evictions. Municipalities that already have rent control ordinances in place are, under pressure by billion and millionaire park owners, failing to follow due process to protect mobile home owners. Rather, housing departments are permitting slip-shod inspections that favor owners and permit owners to issue irregular notices to impose rent increases in excess of yearly permissible in disregard of Mobile Home Residency Law and the intent of rent control. Park Owner failure to maintain means proliferation of egregious life-threatening public health and safety issues. Mobile home owners and renters alike face suffer rent gouging by predatory park owners seeking financial evictions. Municipalities that offer no housing available for low income that have been evicted through predatory practices and forced evictions in mobile home parks expose the most vulnerable - our seniors- to homelessness. Rent prices are prohibitive as in Southern California. Low income, elderly and infirm face homelessness. National rent control might offer this vast population somewhere to go. Please extend tenant protection to the millions of economically depressed space renters and mobile home renters living in our nations' mobile parks. Work with municipalities to ensure fair truly affordable housing in every community for our most vulnerable - the elderly infirm and poor.
