I recently went threw a divorce, i had been a homeowner for the last decade and a half, when I moved out my home I stayed in a place that did did month to month lease, I knew it was in a tough nieghbor hood but the living conditions were unlivable and I notified the board of health. Because of my breathing problems I have been hospitalized 5x in the last 2 yrs of I've been here. I'm constantly having to withhold my rent to get my landlord to even fix anything he raises my rent every time we do a new yearly lease. This is ridiculous I work hard and deserve a home that's not constantly causing me to be hospitalized. We need tenant protections and affordable housing, that's safe
