I moved in here 4 yrs ago when I got low income subsidy finally after 13 yrs of being on a waiting list. It was great to have a home of our own after years of us stay with friends or family for the last decade after my husband abandoned us. I have to say I usually do repairs upkeep,and landscaping myself,or I'm sure it wouldn't get done. The first time I did my front yard they literally took me to court and try to complain, actually trying to fine me and everything. My landlord has tried to evict me numerous times all ways to get shut down by a judge. We need tenant protection. Now that my kids are big, they recently started working but the rent is way to high for them to move out on their own. We need some relief around housing. And tenants should have protections like right to lawyer, rent control.
