    Rent regulations, clear and standardized leases, the right to organize, and strong maintenance requirements/standards are necessary tenant protections that we deserve. I as a renter have been living in conditions with poor indoor air quality that have been detrimental to my health. And yet, my landlord has been offering short-term fixes that are not ameliorating the situation for long, and dragging their feet on making the repairs/renovations needed to be able to live safely and healthily in my home. I deserve an affordable place to live that doesn't make me sick, and to be able to make requests to keep it in good condition without being ignored or retaliated against. Prioritize tenant voices and leadership!
