Hello, I am writing to urge you to enact greater tenant protections through national rent control. Landlords and real estate developers do not care about the communities they purchase properties in, they do not maintain safe and adequate living standards for the tenants living in their properties. Rent increases force working people into deep financial instability, and with nothing in place to stop these landlords from continuing to raise rents, the large majority of working families are struggling to get by. Federal rent control must be put in place now.
