As a concerned renter, I ask that the FHFA tie tenant protections to any Frannie Mae or Freddie Mac loans dolled out to corporate landlords in the future. As it stands, these corporate landlords are able to price people out of homes when people are already facing financial hardships. This is one way that the federal government can act to make housing a more equitable and sustainable system.
