When landlords get government financing, they shouldn't just be able to raise rent however much they want. These days it's hard to come by that rent, we can't afford it, and if they're benefitting from taxpayer funds they should have limits on the rent they can charge.

And they should be required to do repairs too. If we're gonna pay rent - high rent!- and we let them know something's wrong at the complex - and there's always something wrong at Bedford Manor!- they should have to fix it.

And if we do speak up there should be a rule they can't retaliate or evict people for that. They need to do repairs, not threaten people, they should be working and doing their job, not trying to punish us for speaking up.
