Landlords who use government money to buy complexes should have limits on how much they can raise our rent- because it's through the government! If the government is giving them the money, there should be limits on how much they can charge.

They should be required to do repairs because it's their apartment complex. If there's anything wrong they should be required to fix it. A little while back our sewage backed up at Canterbrook and they tried to charge me $1200 and threatened to evict me if I didn't- saying it was my fault even though it was the drain for the whole building. It's not fair and they shouldn't be allowed to do that!

They should want to hear our complaints and fix things, not try to shut us up. There should be a rule that they can't retaliate against tenants for speaking up or making complaints- because they should want to know what's going on in their complexes and encourage us to speak up if there are issues!
