There needs to be limits on rent hikes because we're already low income struggling to pay these prices as it is. Raising it anymore is gonna leave people homeless because they wont be able to afford it.

There needs to be regulations on maintenance. They (the landlords) cut corners every which way in these apartment complexes. Still, a lot of units are left with messed up windows, roofs, hallway doors still leaking, floors falling in, plus the playground is poorly maintained. The office knows what apartments and still nothing is being done about it. The owners know all the problems here and are just about making every single penny and not worrying about the horrible living conditions and dangers were faced and forced to live in.

Of course all landlords, government or not, should stand accountable... and accountable to show where every dollar went and how much was spent and how much time was taking for remodels of each apartment. We had black mold all the way up past the window in my kitchen and that takes 14 days to mitigate to begin with before they can even work. Our apartment took 10 days total including weekend. The contractor, out of his own mouth, said "if you had black mold you still have it we just slapped dry wall in front of it we didn't get paid for all that..." This here is one of the many corners cut and crooked inspector got fired for sleeping with old manager and taking bribes so did the main foreman of the remodel. They never inspected a lot of the buildings, just let them pay for the pass. Basically we moved back in plugged up surge protector and kicked every breaker in my living room and fried my wall plug because they had to connectors and wired was burnt still are no fire breaks in the roofs and only 3 building got central air yet were faced to pay same rent as those apartments if not more! I pay rent and stuck with crap air and bedrooms get 90 degrees at night but the apartment with central air, half don't pay anything. Just unfair we need same amenities offered period. For everyone. All the money they got should have gone to putting same thing in each apartment.
