I am in full support of good cause evictions, safe, affordable and accessible housing and rent protections. Housing purchased as part of an investment strategy and profit making endeavor is rampant. People need hosing, full stop. It is a need. Housing needs to be safe, predictable (ie leases) and affordable for protected classes and low income residents.
