The rent is too damn high! While canvassing with KCTenants I have talked to TOO MANY TENANTS WHO HAVE(or will have to) FACE EVICTION. And in my personal life, I live in a HUD housing apartment(currently owned by FKGibbs and supported by University Health Missouri) in Kansas City, Missouri with only 15 available units in the middle of an area being developed and redeveloped by MAK properties. MAK properties is an out-of-state developer who was given nearly $71.5million by the Federal Government to buy these properties. If they continue to increase rent and further develope in my area many people will be put on the streets or forced to move. They will also increase the property values eventually forcing me and other to move as FKGibbs may not be willing or able to afford the property I live in. So please implement a limit to rent hikes and secure tenant protections.
