    The rent is too high and we need protection! Landlords rarely actually provide for the upkeep and maintenance for their properties; this makes them way less inhabitable and still way more expensive!

    Y'all should:

    End discrimination based on lawful source of income (e.g., Section 8 vouchers)

    Increase the amount of notice required for rent increases and lease non-renewals

    Require hurricane-related rent moratoriums

    Require landlords to provide good cause for evictions

    End discrimination based on prior evictions

    Fund right to counsel programs (so renters
    can get the legal help they need when their rights are violated)

    Require rent stabilization

    Protect renters' right to organize

    I agree and stand beside all of these points.
