Please pass legislation to provides Renters rights! Many of our most vulnerable people and those living close to the edge are renters, and need the protection from a system that has very unbalanced power dynamics in order to protect them from homelessness. Policies that restrict discrimination based on Section 8 vouchers and long past rental issues without cause are important. It is also important that renters have reasonable notice before the rent goes up or they are not going to be renewed so that they can plan.
