    "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." Those are "Day 1" principles found in our nation's Declaration. Radical and foundational tenets, - not just ours in theory, but literally ours by birth. What is, "happiness," if not having the peace of mind knowing that you have the dignity, safety and security of a place to call home. A home that is truly, yours. These Rights are not suggestions. They are Rights endowed unto us. We as renters and citizens of this Nation. We refuse to let slumlords, short-term rentals, vulture venture capitalists, speculators, and private equity groups, commodify the livelihoods and lived experiences of the Poor, Working Poor, and Working Class Americans. We demand federal Rent Control NOW!
