    I am an extremely-low-income White retiree tenant a few months from Social Security, slaved away in the low-wage workforce for decades and I simply believe housing is a human right for all regardless of race.
    The government needs to do more to protect tenants and to make landlords whole so they do not expect us to pay their way because we cannot.
    Anything you can do to keep us in our homes, to increase Section 8 and other forms of rent assistance, to prevent evictions for nonpayment, it is time you did it.
