    I write in support of protections for tenants. We all deserve to be safe and secure where we live. Specifically, I urge you to protect tenants from extreme rent hikes; to give tenants the right to renew their leases unless landlords can provide just cause for non-renewal; protect renters from discrimination based on race, family status, gender identity or sexual orientation; require that renters be provided with landlords' name(s) and telephone number(s); and require that landlords maintain properties in safe conditions. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.
