I urge you to support rent control/stabilization for tenants. The deck is stacked in this country in favor of homeowners. I know, I am a homeowner. But housing prices have gone up so much and so quickly, that a large fraction of the population cannot get the means to buy; therefore, they are constrained to rent. Rents have also shot up, catching many of our fellow citizens in a financial squeeze through no fault of their own. It is morally and ethically imperative to provide protection to them.
