    Rent prices in San Diego have accelerated in the last two years. In my senior housing, the rent for our small apartments went up 8% last year, and another 10% on top of that this year. I am relying on help from my daughters from time to time because rent uses up so much of my income. Any other senior housing is full, and the prices are even higher when they do have an opening. There is rent control in California, and the increases of our rent are actually allowed. We could use some stronger regulation.
